Sulney Nursery grow and sell a vast range of trees and shrubs to supply members of the public, garden designers and landscapers with top quality plants at a competitive price.
Our Story
It all started in 1989 when Duncan Carrier set about opening the nursery. It looked very different back then! The nursery started as a way of growing and supplying plants to the company’s sister business Carrier Landscapes, who plant up commercial areas and new housing estates.
2000
As the Carrier family grew, so did the nursery and the team it employed to carry out the ever expanding commercial landscaping projects across the East Midlands with Carrier Landscapes who now employ over 120 members of staff.
2019
A second nursery site, just down the road from Sulney, nicknamed ‘The Railway Nursery’ is an expansion that allows us to grow on even more of our own plants. This nursery is not open to the public as the plants are still growing here before they are ready to be sold at the main Sulney Nursery.
2021
In 2021 Sulney Nursery opened it’s doors to the public with the official opening of the Plant Centre where you can browse the displays for inspiration and shop for plants, compost and garden essentials.
2022
NEW for 2022! The Pondside Coffee Stop is a relaxing cabin where you can enjoy a self-serve refreshment from our contact-less vending machines. Why not sit out on the veranda and enjoy the pond view? Refreshments include cappuccino, mocha from fresh coffee beans, hot chocolate, snacks and cold drinks.
